What to include on your invoice

You should only submit invoices after services have been provided and within 30 days of the service occurring. Invoices should be itemised, with each service date on a separate line, and must include:

• the patient’s full name and claim number
• your name, address, phone number and email address
• your Australian business number and payment instructions, including the bank account information you want the payment to be sent to
• the provider who delivered the service
• the service approval or purchase order number
• the SIRA payment classification code or Australian Medical Association (AMA) fees list item number
• the cost for each SIRA payment classification code or Australian Medical Association (AMA) fees list item number
• the service duration and date
• the invoice date – this must be the day of or the date after the last service date listed on your invoice.

Payments

Invoicing us correctly means you'll receive your payments sooner. 

If your invoice contains all the required information it will be paid within 10 days, or as per payment terms on the invoice (whichever is later). If information is missing, we'll send it back to you.

We'll pay you by electronic transfer.
